Please read the tips in the "About..." menu item regarding the role of the escape character [ESC] and about full keyboard support in almost all dialogs.

Briefly, the user defined escape character [the default value is "`"] allows one to activate almost any button and check box from external keyboards or via graffiti input by entering "`" and the [lower cased version of] the first letter of the corresponding item. For instance, "`h" activates the "H" button which invokes "Help".

Please see the manual for the explanation what buttonShifts [bShifts] and [directional] buttonSlides [bSlides] are.

Briefly, buttonShifts are initiated by tapping the right bottom area of the screen where the graffiti shift indicator is.

Briefly, buttonSlides are initiated by tapping a button and then moving the stylus outside the frame of the button before lifting it up.

Briefly, directional buttonSlides are regular buttonSlides when the stylus is moved in a certain direction before it is lifted up.

A few words about magiPad/scriptPad/ASCII table.

If there is no active selection in the ASCII table, and there is a character after the current cursor, then, by definition, the selection consists of that particular character.

Create anything while in magiPad/scriptPad. Then select it and hit the "Qopy'n'Paste" button.

The selection gets inserted into the memo at the current cursor position.

If there is a currently selected text in the memo then it gets replaced by the selection.

The newly inserted text gets selected in the memo.

Please see the manual for more details.
